Diese Ausstellung stellt traditionelle Bildvorstellungen infrage. Sie entführt die Besucher in die radikale Welt der polnischen Neo-Avantgarde der 1970er und 1980er Jahre. Im Zentrum der Ausstellung steht die Spannung zwischen der Sinnlichkeit des Dokumentierens und der Unendlichkeit des kreativen Prozesses. Anstelle traditioneller Kunstwerke wird die Galerie zum Labor für Fotografie, Experimentalfilm und Video. Die Künstler dieses Kreises lehnten die Rolle der Kamera als reines Dokumentationsinstrument ab und machten das Medium selbst zum zentralen Gegenstand ihrer Auseinandersetzung. Alles – von intimen Gesten über alltägliche Routinen bis hin zur Struktur der Zeit – wird zur Kunst, wenn es den strengen Prinzipien des konzeptuellen Dokumentierens unterworfen wird. ANATOMY OF MEDIA. Between Gesture and Process.
This exhibition challenges traditional notions of imagery. It transports visitors into the radical world of the Polish Neo-Avant-Garde of the 1970s and 1980s. At the heart of the exhibition lies the tension between the sensuality of documentation and the boundlessness of the creative process. In place of traditional artworks, the gallery becomes a laboratory for photography, experimental film, and video. The artists of this circle rejected the role of the camera as a mere instrument of documentation, making the medium itself the central subject of their inquiry.
Everything—from intimate gestures and everyday routines to the very structure of time—becomes art when subjected to the rigorous principles of conceptual documentation. Discover how the freedom to redefine reality came into being.
